Test Yourself: Self-Assessment Impotence Test

Take this short questionnaire to self-diagnose your erectile function or sexual potency. The questions are based on the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) Questionnaire.

Please fill in this questionnaire before seeing your doctor. This self-assessment impotence test is not intended to replace a proper medical test with your doctor about erectile disfunction.

The test may help you start the conversation with your doctor, and also give you some questions to ask. Your test results here will give your doctor a better idea of what you have been experiencing and how you feel about it.

Select the answer that best describes your condition over the past SIX months.

Please note:
– Only chose one answer, otherwise the the overal result will not be correct!
– Be honest with yourself.

Dear Jon, I am not a pharmacologist unfortunately. So before you do anything please discuss this with your Doc/GP/physician and ideally with your pharmacist too. Good luck!

Thanks for INFO. How can i obtain Nitric Oxide

    • Dave November 18, 2014 / 11:23 am

      Hi Ian,

Your body needs to make the Nitric Oxide by itself. It does this if you give it the amino acid Arginine (approx. 3,000mg) and Pine bark Extract (100mg/day). These are the combination supplements, which I took. The site also links to lots of peer-reviewed research to prove the point. Good luck!

You have totally missed the point with no mention of hi estrogen in men, causing man boobs and belly fat.
Estrogen will block cells that normally receive free testosterone, and that the big culprit in all of this.

Thanks Jim, very good point. Of course I know that poor lifestyle choices in men promote excess estrogen. Also, the (im-)balance of testosterone and estrogen gets worse as we get older and produce less T (and I will cover this in my blog). But there are far more men with impotence issues than with hormonal imbalances, i.e. this suggests that there are many different causes to ED such as poor circulation, dopamine desensitization caused by internet porn addiction, genuine psychological issues, boring sex life in relationships (Coolidge Effect) and others.

I managed found one scientific peer-reviewed study from Portugal, which has specifically looked at the effects of excess estrogen in men on ED (you can read it here) and it concluded that the “change in ratio between testosterone and estrogen is a likely cause for erectile dysfunction in older men”. I talk about the importance of testosterone in all these articles). Good luck!

My husband doesn’t have a problem getting hard in the beginning but he cums very quickly, sometimes even before penetration…After that first time, it is hard for him to get and maintain an erection. Often resulting in my dissatisfaction…What’s going on with him and what can we do to fix it..
